Cycle Five
Inter-Congregational Convocation
November 4-6, 2005
St. Louis, Missouri

The responses from the fourth cycle were refined into two options that were evaluated during the one Inter-Congregational Convocation of the fifth cycle. The convocation celebrated the blessings thus far, helped us to deepen relationships, and created an environment in which significant discernment happened. Opportunities were provided for members to indicate the strength of support for each proposed structure.

Purposes:
• To celebrate the process thus far
• To come to know one another at a still deeper level
• To present and clarify the proposed structures for reconfiguration
• To evaluate each in light of Dominican Life and Mission
• To consider the implications of the proposed structures for each congregation and for all congregations together
• To be challenged to look at “mission” in new and deeper ways by our keynote speaker, Don Goergen, OP
• To indicate strength of support for the proposed structures
