At this time in our history, the Akron Dominicans are involved in a variety of ministries. Our educational background has contributed greatly to our success in our ministries of pastoral care, directors of religious education, health care coordinators, prison ministry, missionary endeavors, bereavement ministry, as well as our other involvements in service to God’s people.

For over twenty-five years, our Sisters have been committed to the work of peace and justice in numerous ways in the Diocese of Cleveland and where our Sisters minister. In recent years, we have claimed our charism of being preachers of the Word. The theme of our Constitutions is THE PREACHING. As expressed in our Mission Statement, “…we are women who hear, remember and proclaim the Word spoken to us in Jesus Christ.”
